About

As The Emperor Constantine gazed heavenward, he saw there, amongst the stars, the ‘Chi Ro’. A symbol of the reviled Christian underclass, Constantine had forbidden its use across the empire, though standing alone here now, on the eve of battle, Constantine knew, only the one true Lord could move the heavens themselves.

The following morning as battle grew ever nearer; Constantine ordered that the ‘Chi Ro’ be painted over his imperial standard to shelter his legions under the love of God as they marched in his name, for honour, for Empire and for Rome.

That evening Constantine’s armies returned triumphant. His enemies crushed and the glory of the Empire perpetuated. The ban on Christianity was rescinded and the people of Rome found strength under the ‘Chi Ro’ and their new Lord God.
